We have had only one “outbreak” of Covid-19 in March 2022 (identified as two of more cases of Covid) and no Covid related deaths since lockdown in March 202. We are very proud of this achievement which is due to the hard work and diligence of our staff.
All residents and staff are fully vaccinated.
We have been working hard following fast changing government guidance and implementing new protocols in response.
Currently, all staff, health care professionals and tradesmen who enter the building are required to be fully vaccinated and to don masks while in the building.
Staff don Type IIR surgical masks and other PPE. Both staff and residents undergo regular testing in line with government guidance.
An external sink has been installed just outside the staff entrance so that staff can wash their hands before entering the Home.
The Home is open to new admissions from the community, for both long term and respite care.
We are open to visiting during visiting times. Please call the office for further details.
Visits can take place in several locations in the home and externally in the garden.
Visitors are advised to test themselves on the day of the visit before coming to Paxton Hall and to wear masks during the visit.
Compassionate end-of-life visiting continues to be permitted.
Fully vaccinated contractors are allowed to work within the Home but they must follow the Home’s infection control policies.
This policy is subject to change without notice and is dependent on national government guidance and advice of the local Public Health England and the Local Authority.
Staff have been trained in Covid-19 related work procedures and Infection Protection and Control protocols..
Covid-19 Risk Assessment
The Home and its procedures have been risk assessed and a comprehensive report produced.
