We have been Covid free since lockdown in March 2020 due to the hard work and diligence of all our staff.
All residents and staff are fully vaccinated.
We have been working hard following fast changing government guidance and implementing new protocols in response.
Staff don Type IIR surgical masks and other PPE. Both staff and residents undergo regular testing in line with government guidance.
An external sink has been installed just outside the staff entrance so that staff can wash their hands before entering the Home.
A bedroom has been set aside for staff to change into work clothes and another one for Covid testing.
The Home is open to new admissions from the community, for both long term and respite care. New residents may be required to self-isolate for a few days pending receipt of a clean PCR test result and a risk assessment.
All visits are by prior appointment with the office so that we can ensure staff are available to supervise safe visits.
All visits are risk assessed and supervised by staff. Visitors are tested with Lateral Flow tests and are required to don the Home’s PPE. Hand holding is allowed.
Compassionate end-of-life visiting continues to be permitted.
Fully vaccinated contractors are allowed to work within the Home but they must follow the Home’s infection control policies, including donning PPE and respecting social distancing, while in the Home.
This policy is subject to change without notice and is dependent on advice of the local Public Health England and the Local Authority.
Staff have been trained in Covid-19 related work procedures and Infection Protection and Control procedures.
Covid-19 Risk Assessment
The Home and its procedures have been risk assessed and a comprehensive report produced.
