What a Christmas we have had here at Paxton Hall! We started off the month with a Christmas Adventure with Hartbeeps Children’s group, we’ve enjoyed Christmas singalongs with Tom Bryans on the guitar and a special Christmas Eve performance by Malcolm Carthy the Piano Man.
We’ve made Christmas wreaths and mince pies and enjoyed visits from the local primary schools too. We welcomed new faces this month with Liz Monroe wowing everyone with the Saxophone and we have enjoyed regular visits from Sophie the PAT dog.
St.James’ church choir also came on 23rd December to line the stairs and sing beautiful carols orchestrated by local Cannon Annette Reed. In between the festivities we have had manicures, Christmas films, quizzes, nibbles and a little tipple or two.
The highlight of the festive period is always our ‘Family Afternoon’ where residents and their families come together to share an afternoon of festive cheer whilst enjoying mince pies & sherry with a raffle also taking place. The home was filled with warmth and love and a wonderful afternoon was had by all.
Paxon Hall Care Home Cambridgeshire would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and we wish you all a very healthy and prosperous New Year!
