Paxton Hall is home for our residents and every attempt is made to meet the individual needs of each person to the best of our ability within the constraints of communal living and safety of others. Residents are free to spend the day as they like; they may choose to participate in activities or not, come to the lounges or stay in their bedrooms, take their meals in the dining room or in their rooms etc.
There are four lounges and therefore there is ample choice of where to sit and relax and also with whom as residents often make good friends in the home. Each lounge is equipped with a flat screen TV.
Relatives and friends are encouraged to visit and take residents out as often as possible. Visitors are welcome at any time within reason. During the summer months, residents and their visitors are able to make use of the landscaped gardens and internal courtyards where garden furniture and benches are provided for their use.
The Activities Co-ordinator at Paxton Hall plans a wide range of activities after taking into account the interests of the residents in the home. A careful note is made of each resident’s life history, interests and hobbies so that personalised activities can be organised for each resident if they wish to pursue them. There is a plan of activities for the month that can be obtained from the Administrator.
