Although this Christmas still had it challenges due to the pandemic, we all laughed and celebrated much more than we were able to last year! Residents have enjoyed many festive activities, films and treats throughout December which have been equally enjoyed by staff! We’ve enjoyed some live performances via Zoom from the wonderful Tenor Robin Bailey and the lovely Trina Banerjee. We’ve made festive cupcakes, gingerbread men, mice pies & melted snowman cookies, which have all gone down a treat at supper time! The arts and crafts sessions were very eventful with lots of laughter and the glitter pots now empty! The residents Christmas party was a huge success with Staff members in festive attire, everyone enjoying Christmas BINGO in the morning followed by party food and quizzes. Christmas day was a festive celebration with residents opening presents from loves ones, sharing Christmas memories before enjoying a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and a glass of fizz. We end the year in high spirits and welcome 2022.
