VE Day at Paxton Hall

Paxton Hall Care Home Cambridgeshire residents joined the entire country in celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE Day on Friday, 8 May 2020. The day saw lots of celebration throughout the home with wartime music being played, memories being shared, and songs being sung. In the afternoon everyone enjoyed fresh scones with cream and jam. There was lots of joy and laughter and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their day.

We were also delighted to receive a donation of a framed sketch of Winston Churchill (shown above) by Mr Paul Eldridge, one of our neighbours. We would like to express our deep appreciation to him for this most thoughtful and timely gift.
